Tuber blemishes, storage diseases
and agrosystem management

The aim of this programme is to acquire the missing knowledge on emerging pathogens as a result of climate change and/or changes in agricultural practices, including the withdrawal of more and more effective pesticides.

In addition, work on the integrated and sustainable management of telluric pathogens in production systems will be stepped up.

This programme is part of the general challenge facing the seed potato sector, which is to develop innovative cropping systems that are less dependent on chemical inputs.

This programme is built around 4 themes :

  • Developing tools for detecting telluric pathogens in complex environments to assess their risks in production systems

  • Acquisition of biological and epidemiological data on re-emerging diseases

  • Development of an experimental approach at CS (Cropping System) level to assess the effect of alternative practices on soil fertility and potato health (multi-bioaggressor management).

  • Participation in the development of the systems approach within the seed potato sector
